Idea generation

My starting statement was 'Use something nearby as a model' this was randomly picked and the starting point of my ideas.

The first thing I did was to define the words that made up the sentence and look up other alternative ways to say it.This would help me understand my sentence and then help me spark more ideas of what I could do with it. I then wrote down my first thoughts and then moved one to other tasks witch could help my idea process. 

To further my ideas I then randomly opened three different books and randomly opened to a page and put my finger on it, this selected the line I would then use to put into context with my starting sentence. I then did the same with a poetry book and a dictionary. Although the book and poetry lines went to helpful I found the random words worked well as I had such a vague word 'something' in my sentence. Replacing 'something' with the selected words aloud me to spark more idea that seemed more narrative and interesting. 

Finally I complied all my new ideas together with the three new phrase's I now had.
